Share Your Work

We encourage courageous, innovative leaders in education to share their work to energize and other members on the same journey.

Be a Presenter

Inspire other members by sharing how you’ve brought 21st century learning to life in your school or district in a 75-minute interactive breakout session.

Session Strands

The Annual Event will include two days of innovative and interactive sessions focused on:

Student-Empowered Learning

Across the national network, schools and districts are cultivating student agency in a variety of ways, including the intentional elevation of student voice and choice in the learning process. These sessions will highlight practices, strategies, and structures designed to position students as leaders of their own learning.

Equity in 21st Century Learning

With the growing need for deeper learning, the promise of equity for all students is not simply a worthy goal, it’s an imperative. These sessions will focus on what it means to design and implement a systemic 21st century learning experience resulting in equitable practices and outcomes for all.

Leading 21st Century System Design

Many network members have developed a Portrait of a Graduate that becomes the North Star for the redesign of the overall education system. This strand will highlight effective strategies for engaging the broader community in developing a Portrait of a Graduate, aligning systems to support that vision, as well as the leadership practices and dispositions essential in transformation work.

Portrait to Practice

How are you bringing the vision of your Portrait of a Graduate to life? These sessions will focus on the variety of ways school systems are designing and implementing deeper learning experiences, aligned to their Portrait competencies. These 21st century, deeper learning approaches could include the design of cornerstone / capstone projects, new learning frameworks and 21st century assessment practices.

Submission Process

Please be prepared to provide the following:
  • Identify your session title, description, and strand.
  • Explain how your session connects to advancing 21st century learning.
  • List up to three learning targets for your session.
  • Share your innovative practice, implementation story, and the overall impact on learners in your school system.
  • Describe your session format, how you plan to actively engage participants and what tools or resources attendees will be able to take back to their school/district.
  • For all presenters: name, title, organization, and contact information.

Participate in the Portrait to Practice Fair

What does it look like when the Portrait of a Graduate comes to life in the classroom? The Portrait to Practice Fair will feature the work of members, to illustrate what it looks like when the Portrait comes alive for students. It’s like a poster session where you will share your 21st century learning artifacts on the first day of the event.
