A Vision for 21st Century Learning

How can school systems be more purposeful in engaging educators, parents, businesses, and other stakeholders in their communities to create quality 21st century learning experiences for all students? A critical first step to capture the hearts and minds of the community and build real momentum around this work is to develop a stated vision or goal for 21 century learning in your system. What knowledge, skills, and dispositions do graduates need to be successful in college, careers, and life? What do teachers need to foster meaningful 21st century learning experiences for all students? How do district and school leaders make their vision of 21st century learning a reality for every child?

"If we can reinvigorate and reconnect our communities back to our schools, it will make our schools better, and ultimately create better conditions and better outcomes for our kids," says Dr. Karen K. Garza, President and CEO of Battelle for Kids.
